Air Travel
Attendees will be booked to arrive into Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN) on Sunday, April 27. There is no set arrival time requirement, but please allow yourself time to relax and refresh from your travels ahead of Monday’s Group Activity.
Flights must be booked through Unbridled Travel – do not make your own travel arrangements. Please complete the travel section of the registration page to indicate your preferences for airline, flight times, departure airport, and seating. We will do our best to accommodate your preferences.
Within 72 hours of submitting your registration, you will receive a proposed flight itinerary from Unbridled Travel. Please review and approve the proposed flight itinerary via email within 24 hours of receipt. Be sure to review your flight details carefully. You will be responsible for any associated fees if changes are required after your ticket is issued.
Note: Please ensure that the legal name you provide at registration matches the passport you will provide at airport check-in.
Arrivals
Upon arrival in Barcelona, you will clear customs and retrieve your luggage. Greeters will wait outside the baggage claim area, holding a sign with the ACE logo. You will travel to the hotel via luxury vehicles with other attendees who arrive on your flight.
Extending Your Stay
You are welcome to extend your stay in Europe and can request early arrival or late departure accommodation when registering. Unbridled can book your flights for the dates and airports of your choice. Expenses incurred over the price of the standard, non-refundable ticket will be at your own expense and risk. Extensions at the ACE group rates at the W Barcelona are subject to hotel availability. All hotel, food, entertainment, and transportation charges incurred outside the meeting dates will be at your own expense.
Travel Documents
You will need a valid passport to travel to Barcelona. Please note that passports must be valid for at least six months after to your scheduled return date (expiring after November 2025). We recommend that you travel with a photocopy of your passport, which you store in your room’s safe as a backup precaution.
A visa is not required to travel to Spain.
We recommend bringing a printed copy of your travel itinerary to have available for customs authorities upon arrival.
Note: As of January 8, 2025 an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) is required for all US travelers entering the United Kingdom (UK). If your itinerary includes a layover in the UK, you will need to apply at UK ETA. The application is brief, but requires a photo of your passport. ETA applications are typically processed within three business days. The cost is $12.75 and can be expensed on your Acadia AmEx.
